Notice on Recruiting Volunteers for the 14th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament

The China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (CUPT) is a large-scale competition for undergraduate students nationwide. So far, more than 100 universities have organized their undergraduate students to participate in this event. The competition aims to (1) train students' ability to solve complex scientific problems and provide solutions to the problems; (2) cultivate students' ability to apply basic knowledge, technology, and research methods of physics experiments to solve practical problems related to daily life; (3) cultivate students' ability to conduct research-based learning; (4) cultivate teamwork and collaborative research abilities, emphasizing the combination of individual abilities and teamwork; (5) improve participants' ability to fluently express academic viewpoints and interpersonal communication skills.


The 14th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament will be held at our university from August 20th to 24th, 2023.


To ensure the smooth progress of the CUPT competition and enable more students to have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the competition, and appreciate its charm, the Youth Volunteers Association of the School of Physics Science and Technology is now recruiting on-site volunteers for the CUPT.


The notice is as follows:


I. Recruitment objects:


All students of the university.


II. Number of recruits and working time:


Number of recruits: 100.


Training time: August 18th - 19th.


Working time: August 20th - 24th.


III. Recruitment deadline:


June 22, 2023.


IV. Registration method:


Scan the QR code below to register online. After registration, join the CUPT volunteer group (QQ group number: 463625348), and follow-up work will be notified through the QQ group.


V. Volunteer benefits:


Volunteers can not only contribute their volunteer enthusiasm but also observe the competition up close. They can also receive more than 2 hours of extracurricular credits (up to 8 hours) for social practice and volunteer service, as well as a volunteer subsidy.
